The whole point of understanding and tapping into your strengths revolves around the concept of strengths-based leadership. Author Tom Rath and leadership expert Barry Conchie discusses the concept of Strengths-based leadership and notes that it consists of three important factors:

1. Knowing your strengths

2. Getting the right talent on your team

3. Meeting the basic needs of your followers (Rath & Conchie, 2009)
