The best way to start addressing this is through preparation. Make sure you are clear – what is the main point you want to come across? Keep it simple - don’t try and get too fancy or complicated. Most people want to talk human to human, so eliminate jargon, filler words, and anything you’ve pulled out of a thesaurus that you haven’t used before/doesn’t feel natural. Be consistent – this is about talking the talk and walking the walk along with providing regular communication.
