Relationships - Ask Open Ended Questions

Here’s something to think about it…

What open ended questions do you ask when getting to know someone? Or are they even open ended? A common question that some navigate to is, “how was your weekend?” This question can easily lead to a very closed conversation. Many answer “Good, how was yours?” Wow, what did you learn from that? How about asking “what did you do this past weekend?” or “what plans do you have for the upcoming weekend?” instead… For other examples to get your thoughts going, check out the Pulse Point, “If Your Team is Made up of Humans, Don’t Treat Them Like Robots.”
