On Tuesday, I posted a great quote from Francis Hesselbein, former CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA:


“Dispirited, unmotivated, unappreciated workers cannot compete in a highly competitive world.”

It seems like a no brainer that leaders should encourage, motivate, and appreciate their team members; however, this does not happen often enough. When employees are encouraged to do their best, motivated to work in their areas of strength, and appreciated for their performance, employee engagement increases! When engagement is up, organizations see better results across the board.
